Panel fasteners - Dzus or bonnet pins etc

Anyone got any other suggestions of any other types of quick release panel fasteners (for bumpers mainly) that we could use other then Dzus clips or traditional style bonnet pins?

I think you can get a catch similar to bonnet pins on ebay... I think I've seen them on there before, however I usually browse ebay half asleep which isn't always good, lucky enough I always press the watch button and not bid!!

I had Dzus fasteners on my old Nova Dave & TBH I found them to be pretty shÃ*t (altho in defenece they were pre fitted by the old owner of the GSi bumpers)

i find bonnet pins work well...

I fitted the pins through the original L brackets after the bumper beam had been removed. They needed cutting down to fit as i had to screw them all the way in to locate the bumper right. Then the sides of the bumper slide into the old bracket - you may need to bend them slightly to loosen the plastic guides a bit.

I fitted the front bumper in the same manner (to remove the beam) but its still bolted at the sides as i couldnt find an effective way of holding it properly.

I want to have a play with Dzus fasteners to make the front clam quick release, but they appear to be bonkers money once you add the bits up :(

I did find a few other 1/4 turn style fasteners when mincing round google though.
