hi, i have just gone out and tried to wire up the clocks with rev counter into my 1992 1.2i, the spade connection is actually already behind the dash however, everything but the rev counter works, I have tried running a wire to the bit on the oil but also no joy. after thorough looking in the engine bbay, I found the same coclour wire blue and yellow beside the oil pressure sensor, sitting with a push on bit, does anyone know where this connects?

That is the oil pressure sensor wire.

Your ment to be looking for a Green wire, which is most likly already there as my mk2 spi did.

As Alex said - 1.2 SPI Nova should have the rev-counter 'wiring' already in the loom and rev-counter clocks should be a plug and play job

In a Mk2 Nova you'd be better with Mk2 clocks as they screw securely into place...I have a set of Nova GSi clocks that would go good in a Mk2 Nova ;)

Got it all going, thanks for your advice which was right! Now having a rev counter shows just how close and low geared 4th is, how could vauxhall make a car with injection etc and not bother with 5th gear.......

Anyway, thanks again

ok, just for long journeys would save the engine revving so much.
