would it be possible
is there a bigger tdi that could be squeezed in (more powerful like a 150 bhp golf engine)
i am doing a project nova again in november & i wanna get everything ready.
suggestions for engines please - sensible only & not the 4 story diesel with 100,000 bhp suggestion :)

im not sure it would fit in the bay tbh m8. might be worth getin a manual for it ?

i wouldn't mind getting dimensions on one, so i can see
but i will keep my eyes open for powerful td's & any suggestions are VERY welcome

in general, golf and audi engine are the smallest so look for new ones of those. I am currently planning an audi RS4 engine in a nova.

Or a normal 1.8T

Will easily fit as the whole unit is smaller than the red top.

diesal engines are bigger than petrol generally i think. they also weigh more cc per cc.

a brand new short engine assembly (1.8T audi) is ?1500. This basically consists of the assembled block and head and turbo and some sort of inlet system but not all of it.

The rest of the parts could be sourced from local scrapyards. www.nsec.co.uk have thousands of late european cars and parts.

There is a form on thier page to request parts. mail them and see.

i think theres a company called audis4u. or something like that in mid devon.

or even for a laugh try dubsport lol they will be very nasty towards someone wanting to fit a VAG engine to a non VAG car lol

volkswagen audi group (encorporating seat, skoda, bugatti, lamboghini (i belive) bently bits of porsche)

people were on about fitting VAg engines.


fitting a big diesil would be good, loaaaaads of torque which is what you want at the end of the day
