Could some one please tell me if 195/50/15 tyres with the wheels having a 48mm offset fit my nova without any arch mods, if they wont will 195/45/15s make any diiference.

It is lowered 40mm.

Also can you have 195/50/15s on the front and 195/45/15s on the back?

yes you can mix tyres sizes front and back, but not left and right obviously.

as far as i know you have got to have the same profile tyre on the front and back, you could have different widths like 195's on tthe fornt and 185's on the back (not really much point though).
