My new project (pics)

Not what you are expecting but my other half has a horse so decided to buy a horse box today.

B reg Bedford horse box. 7 1/2 ton non HGV. Holds 2 horses and a pony, has living quarters a dinky stove and a funky water basin thing.

The cabs pretty rusted and is in need of some major fibreglassing (gaping crack beneath windscreen lets screeds of water in). Its solid just surface stuff except the windscreen gap! Floor pans ok and the horse box itself is solid.

SO - my nova projects on hold until I can fix up the wifes horse box. Theory is if I do an excellent job she'll let me get another nova :D

So - out come the power tools again :twisted: and I may even start up another personal injury update post like I did last year with the nova

Pretty good proce too - 12 months MOT (only done last week) 10 months tax - knocked down from ?2500 to ?2000. Its done summut like 333000km :o but it started 1st time and is power steering!

All I need to know is do you think I'll get door surround rubbers from the VBOA event? Someone reckoned that its all vauxhalls, bedford vans trucks etc there so I should do shouldnt I?

Gives me an excuse to go along with my car too you see?? :D

lol - already got major plans for it. Wife mentioned "lowering it" on the way home. She was joking but I had to wonder if it was possible!

Its also wide enuff (when stripped out) to act as a car carrier!

nah - its a non hgv - has power steering so just like driving a car - just gotta use the mirrors fully, watch the length of it and whats behind me on reversing!

Body work wise its actually really good - just the cabs covered in bubbling paint and needs sorting out. The floor pan is solid and its in good nick. Just needs a little TLC.

If I can get the cab off it'll certainlky be easier - dunno if I can though...

Would be cool to completely re-do the whole thing, like that civic with that blue paint of under the sea and have loads of ice in the back, Escort black leather recaros, tweak the engine with performance parts and a big old dump valve, then wake up.....

what u need is a couple phase 3.5 or maybe phase 4 lets

1 driving each rear wheel

then lower it

flip paint

and bingo the fastest horse box on the planet

only problem being the horses take a heart attack everytime u place em inside :)
