i'm swaying towards mk3 as i believe the mk2 ones handbrake cable is across the top which make the caliper alot close to the shock. not best description
it depends on the piston size. 2 piston sizes smaller one is 8v bigger is 16v
Get s3 ones lol vented FTW
thats a mk3 caliper,
if you want to keep solid discs then any mk4 golf/bora/a3 etc with solid discs will do - alloy caliper - and they dont sieze as much.
or you can get them brand new for 49 each!
For a price comparison, audi S3 8l rear vented caliper £135
other than for spec sheet warriors there isnt a need for vented rear discs on a nova imo!
I never said there is, I replaced my s3 front and rear calipers and am going to try a conversion to see if it works, for no other reason than the fact of I have the parts.
The setup looks the same as the one posted above
ive got golf rear calipers on the back of my nova,
if you can find them there are some early passat's with 8mm discs rather than the 10mm - less unsprung weight,
I couldnt get the 8mm ones so i got some 10mm ones turned down to 7mm!

I used the later audi/vw calipers, much better than the steel ones that are prone to siezing...

They look cool. I had mine mounted in that position originally but when I hit a nasty jump way to fast the callipers bottomed out into my shocks :(

So what is the arrangement for the handbrake cable? DO you use golf cables? How do you go from Nova to golf?

I used golf rear cables and joined them to front section of nova cable. It might even be passat cables on the back of mine lol

I use a golf handbrake (early mk2 or mk1). Cut the small bit of floor out of a car at the scrappy..
