yup i do days and night got 3 coming up sat sun mon night
I do. Been off for two weeks though, my first night back is tomorrow. Been struggling to stay up much past 1 the last couple of nights :( trying to stay up till 4am tomorrow should be fun :(
I do 3 on 3 off permanent nights 6-6 not too bad apart from the weekends this is my 5th night in got 1 more tommorrow loads overtime for pennies to spend on the rotbox

Yup I work continental shifts 12 hours days and nights. It's the reason I bought an I phone lol.been Off 2 weeks , 1 week left. But I'm absolutely skint so shall not be leaving the house til near the end of the month :-(

I HATE NIGHTS!!! radio is crap/worse than in the day and im a right grumpy fecker especially as ive got to do friday nights to get a perminant(sp) contract
ive just got into bed and have got to be up at half 10:(, thankfully im on afternoon's next week so im done till 1230 monday :thumb:

Nightshift 5 or 6 nights(nearly every weekend tho) for me but isn't bad a have internet access (netbook & broadband dongle .No bosses to worry about (im my boss well until i get home)lol smoke break every 5 mins:thumb:
I only have a supervisor at nightshift but he is sound and as long as ma work gets done he is ok last night tonight then off fir 3
I do 2 night shifts every 10 days and they are not too bad. I work in a Police control room taking 999 calls and dispatching officers so at about 4 in the morning on a week day it can get deadly quiet!! Our internet usage gets monitored so we cant just browse all night long so it can be a nightmare. Dont mind nights as long as it is busy! Friday and saturday are the best coz some of the drunken calls we get are good for a laugh. and we can hang up on people if they call us tw*ts :thumb:

i only worked nights at one job....
i was stripping down & prepping trains for repaint... on a three shift system.
when i first started, on days, the night shift were terrible, we were all on a bonus scheme & only got paid really well if the trains were out within 4 days.
someone from management asked me why the night shift were terrible, and i said, well, there were only three of them on. ooooops... the other 6 had clocked in & gone out the back gate... the new workers were a lot better...
lol swedge i also survied my night shift and didnt fall asleep only another 2 to go

I'm 8pm to 6am mon-fri for 2 weeks then 8am to 4:30pm for 2 weeks then back to n/s and so on,
2hrs into my first of two 9hr night shifts. Already read a top gear mag cover to cover and now purusing the internet.. all the criminal have gone to bed so its dull as dishwater in here at the moment.
Yeah I'm having great fun looking after all these robots, loads of conversation lol
Even though I whinge about doing shift work (6 on 4 off), I dont think I would like going back to a 9-5 job. I like the variety I get (and lie ins) and my shift pattern is not too bad.
I think the best ever feeling is driving home in the winter at 7am after a night shift and knowing that I am going to bed all day and all the other people around me are off to work. bliss! :thumb:

2 days, 7 til 7, 2 nights 7 til 7 then four days off, do that 7 times then 18 days off. Ideal.
Its funny cause on the railway, in a night, you usually work, unlike you lot, and in the day on the railway, we do not much due to trains trying to mow us down, where as you lot work lol
My neighbour decided he would play with his angle grinder while I was still in bed. So I had a crap sleep and ended up over sleeping im to 3.15pm. Was ment to start work at 3pm :tard:

when they installed cable tv down our road, they sent letters out asking if you worked nights so they would ensure you weren't disturbed... so my missus filled in the form with all the dates.... so when the contractors came down our road, they parked all of their gear outside our house, then the tarmac gang did the same with the lorry running at tickover all day raising & lowering the box to tip tarmac out. she was so pissed off that she wouldn't let me have cable tv for about 2 years
Last night off tonight and I have to chisel out some filler from a door I bought as the handles been smoothed paint it change a wheel bearing little bit of welding then fit the door all before work at 6

90kph here. And I have miles of deserted country lanes. Shame most of the lanes need a good flailing. My tanker is so covered in hedge its looking camouflaged lol

I have some new pics though. Another driver had a fail at work this afternoon. He drove into the derv tank, moving it 2 feet. Ripping the outlet pipe out the bottom and spilling a lot of diesel on the floor lol oh and making a funking mess out of the side of the tanker lol

i am another night shift worker only for bout another 2 or 3 weeks tho, i do 5 12 hour shifts a week i am wagon drivin for captain birds eye colecting peas for him from the fields and delivering them to the factory for him lol

Cool, if you have an iPhone there is a photobucket app, you get that then simply it transfers the pics you want from your photo library to your pb account then you link it from there, I don't know if the appis avalible for other phones.

So if you buy juice anywhere bar Sainburys it's been produced at Gerber.
Fooking neighbour has just woke me up with his 1275 mini ffs, back in tonight 7 til 7 then 4 days off, shifts piss me off but it's £28k which helps build my Sport lol and with my shift pattern I only work 156 days a year so can't complain apart from the dozy Polish temps lol

Can't happen as the juice never has contact with the air until it's opened by a customer
... any air in the bottle/carton when made is steam and the carton has h202 sprayed in the bottom before the juice is put in there to sterilise it
and there goes another urban myth, consigned to the dustbin of life....... like when i worked at a kfc....... i spent ages refuting the rat story

well had a better night last night :). as for phones sonyerricson battery ftw doesnt even flinch. where not supposed to drink owt off the line but everyone does espec when on the pallatizer split packs come quite often so just grab a bottle say it spit and jobs a good un lol
Im getting ready for my one and only night shift of the week. Have to sit next to some girl I dont like so im not looking forward to it..
oh and its getting towards the weekend so I will prob have to speak to a load of drunks on the phone :(

When i was doing work for the highways agency I used to pimp around all night in a "Fastline" Welfare unit, the flashers on them vans put your HGV ones to shame!!
Rear strobes, front strobes, two sets of triple roof lights, two rear switchable/directional halogen lights, even side panel taper strobes!
Well I've spent the last 11 hours playing commend and conquer red alert on my iPhone haha it's flew in for a change
Graveyard shift for 2 weeks now :(

I hate nightshifts now, they haven't bothered me for the last 2years either.
Contemplating another job that's 4 on 4 off but days only, only problem is its £1k a year less than I earn now (to begin with) and is be spending £20-£30 a week fuel I don't pay now
I still quite enjoy the variety of my shift work. I get 20% shift allowance on top of my wages too which helps.
The job id like to do is more like 9 -5 office work and I think it would take me a long time to get used to it again.
Thats fine, then I can get you out working the streets in the evening :d

im thinking of doing open uni or similar to get away from driving, its beginning to take away my enjoyment of driving cars when i drive allday and only got 2 days of at crimbo this year sucks, then the 2 weeks of nights every 2 weeks is bugging me,
Ive always been tempted in lorry driving. Ever since I was growing up. (whole family are truckers so thats why)

I've been getting late night calls from an ex's pal it's a good laugh and I might go to bed soon as I got a towbar for my van and want to get ig fitted first thing.
just finished work in the pub so off to sleep, gotta weld someones cross member tomorrow then back to my 3 on 3 off tomorrow night :(
Just hitched up to my 8th and final trailer of the night, gonna drag it back to the cheese factory, splash in a couple hundred litres of derv and I'm done.
Still a few hours of machine watching left for me :( lol
As the hours tick by it's looking less likely that I'll be watching the F1 live lol coffee ain't doing a thing lol
