View Full Version : Corsa B headlight wiring. FAO Jack maybe?

Mate has brought some morettes for his B. Need to find out the colur of the main beam wire to wire them up right.

Could anyone shed some light on this (no pun intended!)

I would, but I cant find my main beam wire.

best thing to do is just test the wire's on a head light you will get the right wire eventualy.

Thats what i was gonna do trendall, but thought id post to see if anyone knew fsure

sorry i cant help much i had the same problem with a saxo i ust to own good luck with it tho. have you try'd corsa websites ect...? give them a try might have a thread on it

ow in that case ill pop out and check to see if i have the same wiring as AW06 :)

Turns out my haynes is in my car, bugger if im looking lol

I do think its white as brains said though.

ok well at the top of my light i have a white wire at the bottem i have brown and to the side it is yellowish color

Brown will be earth. Just need to decide between dipped and main then.

Lets say white, test it before soldering it.

It was indeed, if I had a haynes manual to hand I would have told you though. Actually harder than I thought to find it on the net too, I gave it a go lol

What bulbs is he using in the light panel? H4 of H1/7/3s?

I wired my high beams in on their own circuit with fresh wiring direct from the battery. Cut the white wire and spliced it into the yellow wire with a diode, thus keeping the low beam on even when high beam was activated. Then spliced a relay onto the white wire to switch on the high beam circuit.

...does that make sense? lol I can do a diagram if you want. Mind you, I did that as I have HIDs low beam, and they take a second or two to warm up, so wanted them to stay on whilst the high beam was on.
