Booked in for my first tattoo next friday, bit nervous but cant wait :) .

Who else has them? any tips for the day or preperation?

Having this. The venus is going on the inside of my bicep with the angel on the other side.

eat before hand, have a sugery drink, coke etc as your suger level drops and you can feel quite sick, if your not one of these weirdo's who like pain (and it will hurt in places) bag of sweets or a lolly or something similar, just helps to relax you, the pain isnt bad, nothing un-barable just irritating, more like a burning pain and a few sharpe twinges, nothing bad just make sure you eat and drink first and you'll be fine :)

Cheers. Wouldnt say i like pain but can normally put up with it. Only sitting for 2 hours first see how i go on.

You'll be fine. Like a warm butter knife being dragged across your skin. Won't be anything to worry about pal. As said, make sure you eat like an hour before hand.

wwmnw, scarification? Looks cool but, **** me I bet it hurts. I quite fancy a branding though. lol

got my tattoo's on my for arms and they was my first did hurt a bit but took pain killers before i had them done and didn't really hurt, it only hurts when you have long lines done with a thin niddle after that it's fine. but good luck mate

it wasnt that bad tbh my mate nearly passed out watchin lol,when my arms finished i,m having some more done on my neck,and there are 2 koi,s on my arm wrapping round each other

I loved every second of mine.They look awesome when they still bleeding lol
I have pig skin and are really difficult to tattoo,so he had to go over the outline twice and also the shading.

This is mine I had done on my 18th birthday. As said get one that means something to you, not just for the sake of it.

I used to ride bmx and always said i was going to get this tattoo since i was about 14. Hoffman Bikes oldschool logo, also my initials :thumb:

Theres only one tattoo that ive ever wanted, but im not overly up for having my arm needled to hell and my arms aint really big enough for it to look right, but i always wanted a copy of the celtic band Jason McRoy had on his arm:thumb:

I was told by my tattooist beforehand not to eat as it can actually make you feel even more sick.

I found it was best to just not look and take a music player to keep you distracted.

The pain wasn't too bad for mine, I had it done on my wrist, but my friend had hers done straight after mine on her ribcage and she was in agony...So all depends where it is :D

The one I had done on my lower back when i was 16 hurt like hell and the evil man with the needle had to stop for a bit before the end. My uncle bought me a drink in the nearest pub straight afterwards coz i looked so white! lol
But the one I had done on the top of my shoulde didnt hurt at all compared to that. I think its got a lot to do with where you have it done. I want another one but Jack doesnt really like them so I may have to bring him round to the idea....


.. oh and make him get one too!! :thumb:
