View Full Version : Brake Biased Problem
Hey guys, on kellys nova, the brakes are failing the mot because the passenger one is very light, and the driver one is normal.
i have fitted new calipers, bled them up with an easy bleed and the pedal feels solid as, and put in new fluid.
could it be the MC which is knackered, so its not applying enough pressure to that side?
the fluid level doesnt change btw, so no leaks
What was the readings on the rear? Maybe to much pressure going to the rear on that circuit
they showed me the sheet, and he said the performance was ok. just unbiased.
thats why i think its not the calipers and the MC instead
definitely look at the rears. if both the rears are fully adjusted up, then the mc could well be knackered.. what are the flexi pipes like? if one has a bulge, it could be about to fail.
the rears are fine, not even mentioned on the MOT check,
and ill check the lines. thanks :D
This will sound stupid but check the number on the valve things that reduce the pressure to the rear, they should both be the same, if one is different it may cause problems, Lee put up info on them in articles
thanks i will look.
but its all completely original and has been sitting for 5 years, so thats why i think the seals in the MC can be fooked
Change the mc, can get a second hand one for a fiver or a new one (with the correct fittings) are about £25.

will my one not just bolt of and on... what special fittings could i need?
Some new cheap ones dont have the two different sizes of union, so thus require pipe adjustment.
