Real bad wheel wobble under harsh braking, Is this normal in a nova?:(

could be warn bushes, warn rack (unlikely) warped or not seated brake discs, or wheel bearings, sometimes cv joints

I Just had the same in my corsa. Changed the front brake discs/pads, and then the drums, completely gone now.

I would say front discs though. I presume its like a juddering?

I would say either brakes, unbalanced wheel, or broken front panel where the tie bar bolts to!;)

I'm using 16v cavalier callipers! Track rod ends, ball joints, cv joints, bearings are all new.. Discs have only done a couple of hundred miles but I have noticed when only braking gently it feels a bit odd? Almost as if it grips slighty then off, on, off etc if you get me lol

My audi was like that, new TRE and a pair of discs and pads and it's fine now

get the rears checked, and adjusted too. if one rear is out, then the opposite front will be down too

The rear brakes? I've just rebuilt them them with new cylinders, shoes and bearings..
Or do you mean wheel alignment? That's all been set to

tons of nova brake troubles can be traced to the rears, maybe one of the fronts needs more bleeding.

I was guna ask if that could cause it because my brakes don't feel all that great! I just assumed all novas have weak brakes because there old?

sounds like you need to bleed all brakes mate

Cheap discs warp rather easily in some cases.
Any issues like warped discs will be amplified by worn components like bushes etc.

have the bushes been changed on your car? What is the mileage. I think its fair to say that if your Nova is on its original tie bar & TCA bushes they will be shot.
