16v Conversion

I have just taken out my 2.0 8v and put in the 20.16v. Everything went ok but on the loom for the 16v there are lots of wires that wernt there before.

Please help with these:
blue/white - alternator?
blue/green - oil press?
blue/yellow - oil press?
red/blue - fuel pump?
blue/red???????????????
brown/yellow???????????????
brown/blue????????????
green - coil -ve??????
black x 2 - coil +ve????? Do ywo black wires go to the ignition?
i only thought there was one
red/black - starter motor????
white black??????????????

The engine is from an astra GTE


Please help with the missing wires and to confirm that the other ones are correct. The two black wires has REALLY confused me.

blue/red = fuel pump +ve
green = coil/rpm
black1=constant +ve
black2 = switched +ve

how do i know which black is constant and which black should be switched?

not sure, the ecu resets if u get them the wrong way :P

what do you mean it resets? will it wipe it completely?


what about the other wires? Do i need to connect them anywhere?

Ignore blue/red, think its to do with ABS

Red/blue is fuel pump

brown/blue is ECU light

i ment everytime u turn off the ignition it looses the program it has built up. im guesing u know about the learning process of these ECU's?

both blacks are switched live.... one is for the ignition one is for the reverse light.... it would have been easier if u had dumped that part of the 16v loom and used the nova bit

no i already have the two wires for the reversing light. should i just connect both the blacks to the ignition?
