need to get a driveshaft off my nova and dont have any sockets big enough for hubnuts what size socket do i need? tried the search function and got nowt cheers in advance:)

28, 30 or 32 lol
iv had all 3 of them sizes on novas lol

removed my 1.2 shafts the other month and they were 30mm i thought that was what vauxhall was most common any how :thumb:
Never seen anything other than 30mm

im sure theres 3 size, but it might be other vauxhalls lol
i know for a fact the ones on my xe were 32mm

ffs guys sort it out, they are all 30mm always have been but a 32 mm socket will fit. If it a nova a normal socket will be fine if its a cav ect you will need a deep socket because the cv pokes out the hub further

pattern CV & bearings might come with diff size nuts. I always reuse the GM nut & new splitpin.
I say 30mm also. I only did mine this weekend.

30mm on an '84 1.3 done mine far too many times in the past couple of weeks.

mine must be special,
the threads might have been the same but the nut was diff lol
saying that on my small block xe, that had the washer built into the nut lol
30mm on the front, same as Corsa C's. But I dont think Nova's are 27 on the rear like a C?
Nova, Corsa, Astra (mk1 2 and 3) Cav, Calibra, Omega are all 30mm.
Rear i thought was a 19mm...
iirc rears are 24mm,
then again that might be vw as im using vw rear hubs on my nova!
