View Full Version : One for the bufty boys - Chroming door latches?
I've spotted a few cars at Billing with chrome door latches but from what I can see they don't look like they come apart, how or what do I need to do to get them chromed?

Drill out the rivets?
If you do decide to do it, research who chromes them. Some places do a naff job wheras others do a really good finish for the likes of show cars & motorcycles etc.
Willo(w)chrome in mersey are particularly good. We used to use them for bike frames & parts when I worked for a bicycle builder.
Cheers Craig thats who I've been talking to, only in the next town to me, I've had bits done by them about fifteen years ago for my bmx, their work is reasonably priced and top class but do I really have to take them apart?

They probaly just dunk them in, why would you need to get them apart.
When i had my stuff zinc coated any plastic was fine, im taking my door locks over there as they came out the door :)
Are they clean? I mean free of dirt, grease and rust?
