My amp & sub are working fine on start up but after about a minute the amp just stops working? Anyone know why this is? Appreciate any help:)

Probably going into thermal shutdown, which I'd guess is an internal problem.

Try checking the voltage on the remote wire incase its the HU dieing & not an amp issue.

I think your probably rite Craig! The headunits only a couple of months old so it's more likely to be the amp, looks like I'll be taking it apart:roll:

does a light come on and above the light say protect on it?

The light comes in with the amp but goes off with everything else? Don't think it says protect above it but I'm can't be sure why what's that?

some use a 2 colour system where on normal use the light is green and when the protect circuit kicks in it turns red this is to stop the amp frying itself (iirc)

if its some times goes in to protect mode if could mean that is not earth that well cos i've had this problem a couple of times and depends on the gauge wiring your using as well

O foun the problem it was a faulty remote wire! But now I have it working after a few days it's all stopped and the headunits is reading protect and the light on the amp doesn't come on at all?
It's earthed on the back panel were the rear lights are also earthed

if the headunit has gone into protect then you mite have to get it repaired or buy a new 1

I figured the speakers wires in the boot had touched bare metal and caused the headunit to short out! So covered the ends of the wire which were just freely hanging! and reset the headunit now all is fine:)
