Billing is such a good laugh. Got plastered last year then started modding the Astra...was quite a sight apparently.

The reason it's not in many mags is 'cos the likes of Max Power, Fast car, Revs (etc etc) and the rest of the so called 'car' (Read. Softcore porn) mags don't consider this show 'fuk' or 'maxxed' enough.
If you've never been to VBOA or don't know what it's like, here's a quick run down.

Billing aquadrome is effectively a big camp site with a lake, you'll see people there in their caravans on a weekend break, people there in small boats for a sail. What you'll also see are hundreds and hundreds of Vauxhalls, Bedfords and Opel (Hence the VBO in VBOA - A stands for Association). Now the reason this event doen't get much coverage outside of specialist mags (Total Vauxhall, VPCC's HP mag, PCC's Group news wtc wtc) is because there are cars / vans from all eras, 1960 Bedford vans? Yup they'll be there, 1970 Opel Monzas? Yup those aswell.
But you'll also get the modern stuff, Lotus Carltons? Dozens of 'em, Modified Novas? Loads, Brand new Vauxhalls? Yeah Vauxhall have a stand there aswell.
Also there are loads of people selling new and used car parts - Want a rocker box cover for a 1982 Chevette? Probably one there somewhere, Set of original mud-flaps from a MK2 Cavalier? No problem, M3 mirrors for your MK3 Astra? Here you go sir....

What I;m trying to get at is that VBOA (Or Billing as some people call it) isn't like Max Live, there is no semi naked women washing cars, no loud music coming from every trade stall, what there is however is a nice laid back peaceful atmosphere, no huge crowds, no barging people out of the way to look at a nice car (Apart from Brett Warburtons Nova last year!!), Hell even the ice creams are quite reasonably priced!!!!
Plus you can camp overnight because like I said at the top (waaayyyy up there somewhere..) it's held on a campsite!!

Sorry for banging on but I do think that the VBOA is one of (If not the) best shows of the year - espicailly if you like all things Vauxhall!!!

(I'll be the one in the 'Holden Racing' team shirt!!!)
:P

Actually the wife will let me if theres bedford stuff there - shes just bought a B reg bedford horse box that I said I restore for her - the cabs fcuked (rotten round windows) so I can get spare parts for it!

If you want your car on a display stand then you do have to be a member of a club (VSCC is my choice - PCC don't attend anymore as they fell out with the VBOA  ).
You can always just go there and pay your admission and park somewhere and walk round if you wanted to - loads of people do.
