Hi I'm James and I'm new to this forum.

I've owned my '89 SR 1.3 for a few years now.

It was bought to be used solely as a toy doing autotests and production car trials.

Over the years I've done some little jobs to it and I've been gathering some parts.

I have 1.6 GTE complete engine and gearbox to go into it.

I'm looking for some advice regarding the gearboxs.

The SR F10 box has a 4.18 CWP ratio and according to the haynes manual, the GTE F13CR has a 3.74 CWP ratio.

What I would like to know is,

1. Can I fit the 4.18 CWP into the F13 box?

2. Do the standard SR shafts fit into the F13 box?

3. Can the individual gears be swapped around in the gearsets for these boxes?

I'm trying to build the closest ratio gearbox I can using the 2 boxes I have.

Thanks for any info!

James

Can anyone advise me where I might find engine code information for the vauxhall engines?
