help please small block head's and carb's

hi been tooled that the c14se head is better to put on the e16se as it has bigger inlets and valve's is this true. plus were can i pic up a set of twin 40's and manifold for a e16se and how much will they set me back.

14se and 16se heads are essentially the same bar possible CR differences

I was told to use a C14SE on a 1300 engine by my engine builder as lots of his customers use them in racing, I would have thought that on a 1600 it would epicly raise the compression ratio though as the size of the combustion chamber is alot shallower than on an E16SE. Manifolds are about £130 new and normally on ebay and so are the carbs from time to time.
