just been down the local scrap yard to scrap the old rotten mk2 shell andin the pile of cars theres a mk1 nova reg F172JPP red with irmscher quadlight grille stainless exhaust and a C20LET engine the dvla have supposedly took it and it has to be crushed i asked if i can take any parts and they said it cant be touched.
Also next to it is an mk5 RS2000 with cossie wheels immaculate and also has to be crushed
ive got photos but im on my phone and cant upload here.
If anybody is on my facebook the photo is on there and you cancopy it here.
Im gutted.
Theyre talking BS,a C.O.D is for the shell only
Theyre talking BS,a C.O.D is for the shell only
Correct..
I was offered everything bar the shell on one of the Yugos I looked at last month..
The car was subject to a C.O.D but I could have taken the lot with the exception of the shell...

Hindsight...
Is a wonderful thing..................
I wonder if the 'Cossie' wheels are actually Mondeo Zetec of Escort GTi. lol

Eh is that grille not broken at the top edge? And the lights on the n/s look shagged, but that place looks a death trap tbh
Their talking bullshlite, the bonnet's missing for starters! so its had bits taken off it
I say go and offer them some silly money for the bits, everyone loves the smell of crisp fresh £20 notes :thumb:

****ing lol
Personally, tell them to move it to behind the hedge, and exchange some notes for it.
But, I seems to look a very tidy nova.
My guess is no tax/insurance/mot/ needed for forensic uses etc
c20let probably worth £500 with no loom or sensors, or if you can get the loom out, £650;)
wtf is C.O.D?
Certificate of Destruction. (V860???)...
Certificate of Destruction. (V860???)...
I thought it was Call Of Duty lol
We used to send cars the scrappers all the time and issue them with destruction certificates, but the cars still got stripepd for parts
the destruction certificate only applies to the bare shell so that car can never return to the road, might be for engines aswell, but if the engine isnt declared then it wont be the one that ahs to be destroyed, so your laughing :thumb:

that place looks well unsafe i reckon they told you that as climbing on there is an accident waiting to happen its at the top of the pile so who knows maybe they will move it soon

I don't believe you did for the sake of the nova scene...you did it because you wanted it lol however that doesnt bother me one bit, im laughing because you had the courage to go into a scrapyard to get it. I've done some things in my past but going into a scrapyard around here is the last thing i'd do. Don't know if id be more scared of the gypsys or the dogs lol

the bumper is still there and immaculate as well as the back one.
The guy in the photo was my mate, after i whipped the grille off, passed it to my mate who took it to safety and came back, i took a photo of my other mate going to town on it haha.
I also uploaded another photo on my facebook where you can see the roof of the car totally squashed, the cav steering wheel, digis, and interior are all wrecked.
Im going to cut some old grilles up and use fibreglass to repair this irmscher one and then sell the quadlight one ive got on the red nova.
Did you get in from the top road? It's well easy to access the place from there. I've been in when it was still Sunderland Metals, way back when.
Good hustle mate. lol PMSL @ nothing to lose. One more strike and you're going down mate. 25-life etc.
BTW, never try and weigh in a car there again. They will have you in the bailer after taking the p!ss like that. lol I never read the un-edited post, but I've got a good idea what went down, only question is why are you there in broad daylight? Sunday by any chance?

I already gave a massive hint on page one when I mentioned Sunderland Metal Company. lol
It's only a 4 eyed grille for an old Nova man, they're not that hard to find. lol
have i missed something??????? or were these items removed after the yard was closed, & they had told you the stuff was not for sale???????
if so, then i am disgusted with your actions, and I hope plenty more people on here are too. i think thieves are scum, and should be treated as such.
i don't care if you say they were only going to crush them, its still their stuff & their rules & responsibility. i hope you get done.
obviously, if this is a wind up & some out of context pics have been put on, then well done for a decent sense of humour.
So you are going to sell stolen goods.....
LEWI007, you are now banned from selling on here. And I do hope someone reports you to the police for theift, or even more entertainingly I hope someone reports you to the scrappy who will hopefully feed you to the dogs.
There is still a copy of your confession so all is good :)

no he's gonna sell the quadlight and keep the nicked one for himself, not selling stolen goods at all
The deal is (with the yard) that it was once a scrap yard wher eyou could buy parts etc like normal (Sunderland Metal Co). They closed a few months ago and now the company solely deals in vehicle disposal. You can weigh a car in and that's it, to my knowledge. I guess they will let you buy some parts but only from specific vehicles.
It seems Lewi has jumped the fence when the place was closed and helped himself.
Given that they said he can't have anything from those two and he has took parts anyway it's not going to be hard to work out who's responsible!
Really not worth it. I have to say he isn't planning on selling the new panel though.
Dunno if that clears things up any?
thats ok then...........................
lewi, this reminds me of you

I'd be pissed off if I purchased something from him that might be hot when Admin could have stopped it if they knew... Think about it from that pov.
Not a good thing to do tbh,
But looking at the state of the place, are they actually going to notice the bits are missing ?? lol
my sheds a bomb site after my late night rebuilding last week... but i can tell you exactly where everything is & you could remove one item & i'd notice.
brake-dust
12-07-10, 01:09 PM
fair point tbh never looked at it like that.
Oh they'll notice alright lol.
I had to laugh at some of the previous comments of the place being a death trap etc. It's a pile of scrap metal, not a yard where you can strip cars.
Who else would have laughed if the pile had shifted when our resident rouge had the spanners out? lol
Who else would have laughed if the pile had shifted when our resident rouge had the spanners out? lol
would have been Karma at its peak
bit of a risk both for your health and safety and getting in trouble. Is it really worth it?? I dont think so.
As it's not a scrap yard where you can take bits, IMO that's why they won't notice, or care.
I can see it was well thought out tho, I mean if your going to do something like that, making sure it's daylight is bound to be first on the list, and second would be to post pics on Facebook. lol lol lol

oh jesus is it not a crime to see good stuff going in the bin
This stems back to the issue we had of someone openly admitting on the forum that they were sitting in their car smoking weed on our club stand.
Everyone has a different point of view in regards to wacky baccy, but in the eyes of the law, it is illegal, so therefore if someone openly admits they were smoking it under our noses then we have to do something about it as we have a responsibility to do so.
This is probably a similar situation. Some may think that no harm was done because the stuff was only going to get crushed anyway, whereas some will think that theft is theft however you look at it.
So, why in gods name were you stupid enough to make your little escapade public? Did you realy think you were going to get pats on the back and your willy sucked by everyone?
I wont add my opinion because its irrelevant, only to say you have happily made it public that you stole from a scrapyard, not just here but on facebook of all places, so unfortunately you will have to face the consequence of being unable to trade on this site for a very long time.
I just hope for your sake that is the only consequence you have to face my friend.
Loose lips sink ships.

Thats not quite what i meant lol
Basically, if there is a moral issue which wont stand up in court, it wont stand up in here either. So if you dont want to cause a massive arguement or suffer being banned or losing priviliges, or being called scum for that matter, keep it to yourself.
What I certainly was NOT saying was 'feel free to steal what you want, just keep it quiet'.

Ye it's a bit stupid saying it on a public forum but il give him a pat on the back if i ever meet him  banning him from selling stuff on here is a joke aswell, aslong as the parts are cheap enough and the buyer wants it then i dont see a problem at all. Il happily buy the tiem off him once it's fixed and anything else he has whether it's stolen or not - saves me going out to do it Lol.

No, you read incorrectly. Someone openly admitted they were smoking weed in their car on our club stand and were told to not do it again or they would be ejected from the club. My point was if they kept their blabbering mouth fecking shut, we would never have noticed.
And if you feel that it is ok to sell stolen goods on our forum, no matter the moral opinions of said theft may be, then you are utterly deluded. Comparing it to a burglary may well be way way off the mark, but this is an official club and we will NOT bee seen to be taking things like this lightly no matter how trifling you may think the matter is.
Again, i reiterate my point. None of this conversation would be happening if the stupid twunt kept it to himself.
Did i also read it correctly when the admin said they grassed somebody up because they were smoking a bit of weed in their car at a meet? :wtf: Good job you havnt gone as far as checking peoples tax discs and whatnot  I best not turn up to one, you might take my wheel bolts off my car once iv told you that i grabbed them from a scrappy once...

I agree that it isnt helping the reputation but i dont see the need for everyone to come down strong on the lad. We all nick from scrapyards, iv read threads in the past were people agree. He took a broken grill off a 20 year old car, i doubt anybody else will really give a fcuk.
asmuch as you cant reply now :p
but its one thing to pocket fuses/bolts from an OPEN scrap yard, but its another to break and enter then steal.

We are not your parents. We will not tell you to not do things or how you spend your free time. Rob scrapyards, mug old women and smoke as much pot as you want.
BUT the minute you assosiate said activities with this club that a lot of us have worked DAMNED hard to make respectable as well as all the members who do such a bloody good job of keeping this reputation up, then i'm afraid thats when you make it our business, and we will do whatever is required to protect said reputation.
