anyone ever owned one? any occuring problems or anything like that?
good points and bad ones....

(reason why is that a Clio is a hell of alot cheaper for me to insure than a Nova, so i mite get one)

My missus has got one of them^ but a 1.4 16v Sport. Nippy car, Corsa 1.4 Sports/Tigra 1.4 16v's are faster tho.

Only problem shes had other then minor MOT work was a couple of sticky valves.

I drove a 1.2 briefly, they have good brakes

Not bad little cars, seats are awful though on base models, like two wooden boards!

How much cheaper is it to insure than a 1.2 nova?

I had a 182, would have another in a heart beat.

Front wings sometimes crack due to being plastic.
Other than that, there french, so have all the normal french gayness.

You went from a 182, to a 1.6 nova, a gay tigra, and a bum corsa?

I smell B/S:wtf:

the leccy window bits fall out of the doors, the wiring under the bonnet is rank. the metal bits seem ok though

Engines are solid enough when maintained properly, the 1.2 and 1.4 16v suffer with burning out valves sometimes, airbag problems due to dodgey pre tensioner connections. over all though they get slated but they aren't that bad.

Don't they also have flying bonnet issues?

^Yep.

Basically, use google!

They are safe for a small car, wouldn't go for a saxo or 106 for that reason as mentioned above....... next to no crash protection in them

Quinn direct was my cheapest quote : just over 4k
Clio with Quinn was just over 1500
so quite a big diffrence :)

i might actually get one then, just make sure the engine has been well looked after :) cheers for the advice lads :thumb:

Have you been banned in the past or something? That's a fair price to insure a nova lol

Pete

lol never been banned or anything, my postcode area is low risk, nothing on lisence, should be passed next month so i dont have any NCB etc.
so Nova goes and Clio will come as at the moment i have no intrest in it because i cant even put it on the road, and its pointless having a Nova just sitting there.
