that 120mph is indicated though, isn't it? nova speedos aren't known for their accuracy and they can over-read by up to 10%. or so.

My SR Sting does 125mph, but then againt hats nothing to jump up and down abt.

The reason my is so fast is cause im rebuilding a prototype of the 125 Sting...... ask fester or cambridge abt it ;)

yesterday while trying to find a useful excsue for not writing my dissertation i made a spreadsheet to calibrate your speedo from your rev counter. (even takes into account diff wheels and tyres)

i sent it to kev and he made it "online" but you need to ahve office XP things installed to view it (or ask me increbicly nicely and i might email it to you)

the Sting 125 - rare! I had a Sting 118 but upgraded. 1.2 16v rarer than the Sport, Irmscher injection etc

as for the speedos, well theyre good for a laugh arent they?

your very proud of that pic aren't you ste. 8) The speedo will be out some on your car and the tests in the mags may be from a new or thrashed nova not a nice clean well run in one. + the exhasut and filter will help a bit.

in my sri (full magnex including decat/4branch, green cotton induction kit, runing of optimax) iv had an indicated 118mph but then again it was windy and iv never really tried for top speed sisne then. had it at indicated 135mph a number of times when 1.6 16v was in.

i just find it hillarious that ste is perfetcly happy doing speeds like that in a very small steel can that will fold up totally in a crash. but hes "affraid"/unwilling to go on a train that goes 100 mph lmao (like they ever get to those speeds anyway)

all you have to do is alter the offsets so they are 60mph to fast and the rev's are double. then u can do 120mph with out getting stopped by Polize.

There are a lot of opel corsas with kmh clocks, they get your speed up really well, and nobody has mentioned the obvious benefits of the Max Power sticker, or the aerodynamic benefits of the reversed baseball cap.

seriously though, if you want huge top speed, just stick a gearbox from a diesel vectra in on big wheels with big tyres.

get it recalibrated, should think any guarage with a rolling road would be able to do it. :)
