BUY IT NOW £2300 - I WILL NOT BREAK THE CAR - I WILL NOT SWAP THE CAR
If you are interested then please PM me on here and I will respond. I will not reply to any nonsense so don't bother!!
I have very reluctantly decided to sell my Vauxhall Nova SRi track-car project.
This is a full running car but I would class it as a long term project as most Nova's are these days. Up until a few weeks ago it was fully insured, MOT'd and taxed and I regularly went for the odd blast in it. Apart from that it's just sat there and I can no longer justify it due to other commitments.
There are a few bits and bobs that I had planned to do, these would be upto the new owner to either leave as-is or change/upgrade. I bought the car with the 2.0 16v engine already in and the roll cage was already in, it has been an on going project for me. It'll be a great head start for someone looking to build a track car.
There is no tax. The MOT is just out. I MOT'd it a year ago without any problems, although it is very low and the MOT tester had problems getting it on the ramp! It has probably only done about 500 miles since the last MOT and about 1000 since I've owned it.
This is a 1991 Vauxhall Nova SRi that was originally white. It's now registered as a yellow 2.0L.
Inside the car:
Stripped out inside, there is no dash and all redundant brackets from around the car have been removed.
2 x Cobra Evolution S seats in Kevlar with Sparco 4 point harnesses (this lot was pricey!) - hardly used
Full welded in roll cage of unknown origin
Snap off steering wheel
Race Technology Dash 2 (http://www.race-technology.com/dash2_2_31.html) display unit (speed, revs, temp, fuel etc) - hardly used. Comes with PC software and serial cable to allow configuration
Carbon fibre door and rear 1/4 panel trims
Inside is painted Vauxhall Anthracite (metallic black)Exterior:
The car had a full respray in "Fiat Giallo Sole" (yellow) 2 years ago, at the time 2 mint condition doors were fitted and 2 new wings. The rear arches are now on their way out, they could be repaired but my plan was to fit new 1/4 panels.
The car has a standard SRi rear bumper and spoiler and a GSi front bumper which was brought brand new 2 years ago.
The doors have been de-handled and there are switches underneath each door mirror that open the doors.
Engine:
Vauxhall 2.0 16v XE
Full Roose Motorsport hose set, this is the full set and includes pipes behind the engine that you can hardly see!
Power cap
Aluminium water bottle
Unsure what exhaust is fittedSuspension:
Front: Spax -60mm shocks and springs
Rear: Spax rear dampers and -100mm springs
Brakes:
Astra GTE 16v discs and calipers, standard rear drums
Wheels:
16" Speedline Allessio in black
Stuff I have that is not yet fitted:
Roose Motorsport inlet hose (brand new)
Pipercross cone filter (used)
Aluminium navigators footrest (brand new)
MK1 interior door handles (used), this means drilling the carbon fibreStuff that I feel needs to be done:
The rear arches need repairing or renewing.
It has odd tyres, my plan was to get some wear out of them and then replace all 4. They're coming up for needing changing now.
The cambelt cover is not fitted as I do not have the rubber fittings for it. These are easily available but I have never got round to it. Once the cambelt cover is fitted the Roose inlet hose and cone filter can go on.
It's had a new front panel at some point and I have always found it hard to get the headlights to line up correctly, for the last MOT I had to use tie wraps instead of screws on the passenger side headlight to move it forwards so that the headlight aim was correct, I've never been too bothered by this with it being a track car.
The electric windows aren't wired up so are permanently in the up position. I have the loom and switches. My plan was to fit polycarbs.
The exhaust is a tight fit over the rear beam and needs adjusting so that it doesn't vibrate. I'll try and sort this.http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg240/kev-w/ebay/IMAG0568.jpg
