A couple of different people have told me that mk3 and 4 astra 1500 turbo diesel driveshafts have a 22 spline big block outer cv and a small block inner and that it would work with doing a nova 5 stud conversion but i think if thats true why does everybody get cut and welded shafts made instead can anyone give me any info

for a start there isnt a 1.5td astra..............and 1.7td's have f18

The nova TD has the 22 spline shafts the same as some GTE's that allow you to use the cav inner CV's with normal outers.

You CANNOT get any shafts to fit a smallblock with 5 stud hubs. The ONLY way would be to cut and weld the shaft.

or get 2 cv joints of the same manufacture, strip them & make some that fit.......it would be possible...

well, it should. but what you need is an f13 outer & an f16 inner

so ideally any mk4 astra outer cv is 22spline and fits straight onto nova shafts.

How come when i asked all this months ago everybody told me to get ones that were cut and welded lol

I have seen modded inner cv joints ! lynz is running some on her china blue weapon !!!! they are half big block cvs and half 1.2 cvs i think specky made them ! check out her projects page !
