the bottom hose port is about 2" higher than on my original rad, which was from a 1983 1.2 with full height rad & the bottom hose i've been using was a cut n shut i did in 1994, i am trying to do it properly.

Any 4 cylinder corsa imo.

The reason i say is the corsas have the hose about there, and its a preety neat setup.

Only one issue ive thought of, the pipe that runs around the back of your block, is it plastic or metal?

plastic

You need a nova gte/gsi/sri hose

Corsa one would be ideal then.

You need a nova gte/gsi/sri hose

The issue is, on a standard nova rad the outlet would be lower, so the pipe ends up being pushed up.

Why is it higher up on that rad, hmmm.

AlexW

Because its a aftermarket replacement item, so as per normal, is almost nothing like the standard one.

Mine is too, but my hose outlet is in the original position.

Actually, that rads probably meant for a 1.2/1.3, which had a smaller rad as standard, with a different bottom hose. Its just cheaper to just make them using one core size.

i asked for one..and they said it wasn't listed........ typical eh? i think its go down there & rootle thru the books time again

four of them were merrily telling me that i had got square ports on my engine, when i nipped outside & brought the head & manifold in to prove them wrong....considering i'd already told them a e16se was mechanically all but identical to the c16se

but i keep reading on here that there were later gsi's with the short rad......

Id say so, iirc its the same as corsa too, If i remember, il have a quick look at my tigra in the morning and see if it would work.

yeh that looks like it might work, although it might depend on the height of that radiator cos it looks taller than the Nova one you have

i have the rad, its the hose........

and AW06, a corsa b 1.4 8v one is perfect, so rep heading your way.

it ends up is was from a really late gsi..
