Roof removal

My SX has a ****ty aftermarket Sun roof and it spoils the car. I have a perfect roof skin here so I'm wondering the best coarse of action with regards to re-roofing it? Cut it at the pillars of the roof skin itself?

get a bodyshop to do it!

I tried on scrap car before i did my gsi,

I gave up in the end and just plated the sunroof hole!

its like all the other panels, spot welds, if your wanting to TIY it get advice from a panel basher first, but you dont really want to cut all the pillers and stick on a new roof that way unless its got a rollcage imo.

they are also roller welded along the gutter strips ive looked into having a sunroof roof skin put in the van but scraped that idea lol
