Is there a way of using a f13 gear box with the larger outer 2l 16v cv's and hubs? Any help would be most appreciated.

Not sure. What was your idea for getting this to work? Thanks.

i was just trying to understand why you wanted big outers & small inners, when the small outers seem pretty good & you are using an f13 box, which usually means small block power..

usually this sort of question crops up with people wanting 5 stud hubs & a smallblock powered car, which would need what you are asking about.

i don't think anyone does a ready made shaft for it.

Ow okay. Because the engine will be around 150bhp and just wanted a bigger stronger outer cv. So was just trying to find out if it can be done.

Next statement you may read is:

'that F13 will blow up with 150BHP trhough it'

people are running let power on std nova outer cv joints, they should be ok.

i've never heard of anyone running anything other than small block ones on std shafts, with an f13 box.

it takes a lot more than 150hp to wreck an f13 that has enough oil in it

Its not the power anyway, its the torque!

torque??? on a 150hp small block??? what wrecks the gearboxes is abuse & lack of maintenance..............

if its 150bhp but 300 raging torques, your soon kill the gearbox.

but that would be a tractor engine.............

mk4 1.8 inner cv joints will fit the shaft and in the f13

but why? you have no need to. just use std shafts. grasser lads use f13's with c20xe's on itb's and have no issues with std shafts.

the grass, and lack of traction or high cornering speeds is the key there, also over a season, they probably only do a couple of hundred miles max....

150bhp through Nova outer Cv's is fine, for both day to day driving and thrashing around doing burnouts and drag runs all day long.Trust me.

You fkin chavlol

On grass, its full lock, and cvs dont like full power and lock though.

My mate kills them quite often, on a 250bhp xe.

Standard they dont really have a problem.

Its clearly on the road lol

if your mate is using full lock, then he isn't a very good driver.......... the front wheels should be pointing forwards, and the back end should be following, if that means crazy setups, then fine, but full lock is a waste of hp

What I would like to use is the bigger 2l outer cv.

use a conversion shaft with a 2ltr outer cv and put a mk4 1.8 inner cv on and that will fit in the f13 box
