fuel tanks for xe

what dose the swerl tanks look likes is it were the fuel pump is inside the tank and its got that round thingy in it and would a corsa b tank fit on to a nova

i have juast been told i have a standerd gsi pimp on my nova and i have put a xe in and its dosent like to move has some 1 changed the tank with it the pump being out side

Ideally a GTE/GSI/SRi tank with an external pimp! Or IIRC you can use an SPi tank and internal pump..

Sounds like your pump... err I mean pimp isn't up to the job. Having a swirl pot in the tank will help to dstop starvation on hard cornering with low fuel in the tank. But outside of that a non swirl pot tank and an external pump should allow you to set off with no problems

YOU NEED ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TWO OPTIONS (sorry about the shouting)

1. a NOVA gte/gsi pump & tank
or
2. a NOVA mk2 inj tank with an astra mk3 mpi pump

nothing else will fit in the original place, especially corsa b& c bits

Only nova tanks fit paul and there model specific so saloon will only fit saloon and so on .

would ypu say its my fuel pump what is makeing it do what its doin coz i has a c20she engine in it be4 and it was runnig ok with that in it and i wonted a redtop in and it dosent wont to drive nw

i got a injection tank out of a 1.2 and im running an outside pump out of a calibra that i broke and mines fine...

so if i use my tank and get a difffent pump it shoudl runn ok then with out a swirl pot

paul, we don't know if your tank has one.. crawl under the back and take a look at the fuel level sender. if it is screwed in, then it is an efi tank... if it has funny looking sharp bits of metal, it is a twist on sender & is a carb one.

the filter thing is slid on, i removed it, shortend that plastic pipe thing, and put the filter back on.



do you run a external swirl pot if not do you need to have a lot of fuel in the tank
i dont have a swirl pot, and i drove it with the light flashing.
it's the same as with the c14nz in it. it's just a bigger engine, feeded by a bigger pump

does the mpi pump go in the top of the injection tank coz av got 3 differant nova tanks and they are doing ma heed in the 1 av got in the now is a moddified carb tank with an external pump but its leaking :( av got a brand new injection tank witch has a big hole on the top where the inpection bit is on the shell and 1 bit in the front witch am guessing is the return plz plz help

just use a 1.2i tank with any vauxhall mpi internal pump makes it a lot tidyer and safer as you dont have any fuel lines or pump rite at the back bumper

the hole in the top is where your pump is at 6 bolts and lift it out put a mpi pump on it and drop it back in prob have to shorten the pipes to fit and the one under nieth is the return :thumb:
