just been out to attempt to tune my idle circuit on my 40s, and after a while, the rex counter started to flicker, then the fuse blew, i then stripped out my engine start switch and button, and its still blowing fuses, up to 30A bad boys too...? anyone ever experienced this? any help would be muchos appreciated!! cheers folks!
Well obviosly there is a short, fitting higher and higer fuses will never sort that, infact it could start a fire....

yes never put in a fuse higher then the circuit, just cause proper damage!. just follow back wire. and correct damage or repair corrded ones

seconded, the plastic protective film comes away over time and the copper damages very easily and causes shorts etc :thumb:

the clocks are sound, ive had them out a number of times and they seemed absolutely fine when i last saw all the tracks etc on the back... i think its just grounding out somewhere somehow... i havnt been beaten by it in six years and im not about to lose...
