you know when you are on a journey somewhere, or work gets a bit slow & you then start to have daydreams about stuff.....
this is my new one..........

All Mantas suck balls and always will.
Tomcat engine would be fun in an old BL wagon, but the T series is a sodding heavy lump :s
i did mention something big mid mounted.....
anyway,mantas were ace, and one of the finest handling gm cars around till they started making that 'voiture de coiffure' that you own.....
but its still heavy...... dosent matter where you mount the sodding thing.

the aggro had the e series, basically a bored and stroked a series with an over head cam. the 1750 maxi/aggro motor has been fitted to minis.

I have to agree with Jonnova1 about the F40 (and Mowgli) I have always loved them too. I would only want one/two crazy cars in my 'dream garage' and it's these two. I still remember my F40 bed covers when I was about 6. lol

you have that linky to the ARG stuff & i forgot to save it, but it goes on allegros & their crappiness in great detail....
i will do a ropey looking 'paint' rendering of my mid engined allegro idea so the photoshoppers can see what i'm getting at and do it properly please

i saw an estate at a classic car garage on sunday & it got me pondering......
Cool. Much was it? I almost like the estate. :( Almost lol.
I remember watching that crap fat bloke from Used Car Roadshow presenting some programme, more than likely Classic Gear where he drove around in an Allegro for the day and actually wanted one afterwards. LOL
there was an allegro from a lee cooper jeans ad from the early eighties that was a customised convertible.... it was shocking.. i only know about it cos this right pillock who went out with my sister owned it & used to drive it round thinking he was cool.......
i also used to race & beat a lad who had a 1750 equippe, in my first 1.2...........

I was amused at the fact the rear handles were anything but striaght on the Vanden Plas I seen. Truly a terribly built car. I hear the design was OK but as with most BL stuff corners were cut and hasty decisions were made.
Something about them originally being designed for an A Series lump but they changed their mind and had to heighten the bonnet/front of the car to allow fitment rings a bell. lol
correct/\ they were far lower and sleeker. there is a k series one doing the rounds, looks ace in snot green.... the aggro was a truely great car fukked by bl bean counters and naysayers. a true case of what could have been.
right.... google andy saunders allegro.. you will see an amazing custom one......
