Mine with 1years ncb is £1k and im 24 so that sounds decent enough.

My mate pays a few hundred less but seems to have a lot of hassle with the compnay. Mine sort of just leaves me to it and doesnt ask for any proof or anything like that so i dont mind paying what i do. Just speak to them once a year for the renewal.

It was FC last year but my renewal came out more expensive so went third party. Next year il be putting it back to fully comp though as i should have a more expensive car by then.

Like i said, the price of mine doesnt really bother me as my company seem really good and hassle free and that's the main thing.

I also pick third party at times as my cars are usually worth more in bits lol

Is there not a chance that they would ask for proof come claim time and then it's game over?

Some policies maybe but when i started mine i made it clear i had a full time job and buy and sell just a few cars a year in my spare time. It is in my contract and they were perfectly happy with that.

ive never looked into it, always assumed they would want business numbers or something - if not it's something ill be looking into now...

i told them im a full time road worker buy and sell and do my own repairs on cars between the 500 and 2000 mark, but made sure it covered my audi though and i only do it part time but i will buy a car if its cheap and can make a few quid on it as im sure many of you would

I asked them about putting my dad on my policy but they then wanted proof of wages, etc so didnt bother.

Tradewise insurance have always been the cheapest for me and a few people i know.
1 lad has cars under value of £5000, including imports and small commercials, at £650ish
i had the same with me an the (now ex) missus for £450! bargain cos mine was more than that for a mk4 astra estate 1.6!

i've had my traders for nearly 3 years, never been asked for proof of wages or that i have a business. just told them i was valeting part time from home and away i went.

i've had various import imprezas, escort cosworths, golf gtis etc on mine with no problem.

the company is called roadrunner. their number can be found online and you're best to call them insted of leavin your details and waiting for them to call back.

Im with tradex been 3.5 years at £600 per year with my gf on and im 24 third party only. ive listed about 5 cars on my policy that will never be sold, if i buy an expensive car i just insure it seperatly fully comp as it works out cheaper this way.

Be carfull as according to my policy and i expect all, high powered expensive vehicles that you have not declared on your policy that you own for a few months/years ect... and suposedly just buying then selling to make money as although you are insured, and if you get stopped its all legal ect... if you have a big off, take out a few people walking past and a £60,000 car they will look in to it and if you read through all the small print it will say something to the tune of "you need to notify them of all vehicles you have every month or so" if not they have the right to void your policy as thats what the chap told me at my insurance broker. (and he was right it does)

I was honest and said i do not have a buisness and do not make any money from it just buy a lot of cheap car's and drive them till they die and would like a fleet policy. Also there is alway's the tax man that i hope your all declaring your earning's too on these sold vehicles lol

Ive had no problems with my trade insurance and as already said by someone else just speak to them once a year.
