If the pump is working through the spi pump than that would slighty explain i guess.

Wrong section btw

yeh if it has external pump its probably a carb tank, with no swirl pop, hence the fuel starvation, hence the spluttering

Yeh cause theres no swirlpot in the carb tank, the fuel pump is getting straved, change the fuel tank.

Remove the spi pump and put some fuel hose in its place

Nope the external pumps should be gravity fed

Best bet would be to get a mpi tank.

Im running a carbed tank and keep meaning to fit my gsi tank to see if it cures things.

Stupid question from me

But, just because it says 1/3rd of a tank, its not nessacerily 1/3 of a tank?

Try the spi tank, with a 1600 astra MPI pump in.

spi tank with internal astra c20xe pump works.
you just have to mod the pick up pipe on the pump, as its a bit too long.

erm.. the pump from an astra mk3 c20xe fits in the spi tank. (internal pump).

you just need to shorten it a bit, as its too long. the part that goes in the tank has a filter, you can remove that, and shorten the pipe, you can just slide the filter back on.

dont cut it too short! best is to try small pieces and testfit.

The mpi pump in mine is un-modded
