Car came form Lexfleet so i know its legit, have called the supplying dealer and they confirm that all records are a astra sri sporthatch and its the dvla input fault but you try convincing the dvla that, they want proof from vauxhall that its a astra not a vectra, but they taxed it for me as a vectra lol! on the dvla advice he said well its been driving round for 2 years as a vectra so anothe couple wont hurt.

Trying to get some insurance quotes for it is a slag though half the prefixed info is a vectra and the other half is a astra cdti twintop FFS where did that come from!

Lmfao its not uncommon for stuff like this to happen as all of the info is typed in by hand by a human who as we know is not infalible

Years ago i got stopped in my dads J reg midnight blue rover 414 SLi and i was sat in the car when the PNC check came back as a green 216 SLi we were like wtf lol

if you have a "vecstra SRIdesiel" then why not insure it as a toyota nova really f**k things up for the DVLA and police just for the giggles lol.. good luck on trying to sort this out as the dvla wont send me my log book for the nova as they cant contact the preivious owner to ask if he sold it so TBH im happy with that when he gets 3 speeding tickets through the post :)

Not uncommon.

Seen this 4 times in a year, its mostly cars bought over from Northern Ireland but had a couple of old fleet cars come in that were registered completly wrong.

What the DVLA told me to do was highlight the mistake & write the correct information beside it. They then correct it & send it back to you. However all the cars I was dealing with were passed to trade so it maybe different.

Cant do anything about human error, :(

Car was bought as trade from fleet auction and i am trade, the dvla have asked me to get a signed letterheaded letter from vaux stating the exact model but there not very forthcoming with that.

as far as historical research can tell, assholes were around in the swansea area before the dvla was created, & both of them got jobs there..... the rest moved once they were up & running......
