anybody ever thought about the 2.0 cdti in a nova?
just curious as these remapped are instant 200bhp with loadsa torque

id be happy to try when i finish my profects but its the wiring side of it im baffled with
dont think they do standalone for diesels unless anyone knows more than me

and ideas would be great as i think one of these would be great fun and be used everyday for little money:thumb:

You ever seen how complex the wiring loom is on a new age 2.0 CDTi ;)

I found a link for aftermarket common rail management once, you could buy it complete with ford engines.

Short of that, it would be a massive project though compared to say an XE. AFAIK they mount differently, and you'd probably have to start by fitting the entire wiring loom from the donor car to start with to get it up and running, then trim out what you don't need bit by bit.

On the plus side, it would be easy to keep the cruise control, trip computer etc...

Good point, that would be properly cool TBH. The electronic clutch switch & ECU capablility would be there already, just need the coloumn stalk switch to finish :cool:

In reality however, just dont even go there lol

i know it wouldnt be easy but think of all the plus points to the negatives

let power at 50mpg

are they canbus?
i certainly would not want to be wiring it up,
though i think a corsa b would be a bit more ideal of a car

Corsa B's are the same old technology as nova's - corsa C is a little more like it
