Right Ive got about half hr till i look at one, i never even though of getting one, but found one cheep with low miles and "looks" nice, yet to see if it is..

BUT i need to know of anyone who's owned one whats the really bad bits to look for????

Need to know ASAP!..

just think big nova, even tho there shells a galv, they do still rust lol

my bf had a calibra dtm once, the front cross member rotted & the rear spring mounts. apart from that it was rot free. :)

rear spring seats rust through thats the main problem like cavs

Unlike Novas, if she looks tidy on the outside, they are usually pretty good underneath - obviously if it hasnt been painted!

i know ill get some neg rep but ive always liiked calibras

i though for the time they cam out they were very modern looking and still look good today

Rusty IRS, perished fuel lines. generally the dash & interiors suffer the worst on miley cars. Creakey seats & non functioning heater controls that sort of theing.

Dont be afriad of a Calibra tho Scott. I am considering one but would prefer a late Cav SRi tbh.

TBF it was just OK if you wanted an OK car, but nothing was to bad, i just wanted a cleaner one, had a few cabs and scratches, so refused it, although i was quite nicely surprised by the 2ltr 16v Ecotech engine, i rapped the poor thing from the off from the guys drive, wanted to see what it was really like! lol
