wide arches?

when fitting the wider arches what do people do with the standard rears as the arches go over the standards just curious as to what happens to your original rear arch and do you need to space the wheels as im thinking of a set on the cabriolet?????

If youre putting the wide arch kit on then its best to cut the original arch right up so it basically a big tubbed arch for better wheel/tyre clearance. Make sure you weld the inner arch to whats left of the outer, then make some inner arch guards to protect the bodywork, as if it starts rusting you cant see it and it'll give it better weather/ protection!;)
