Retro phone goodness :)

I hate my N97. People phone me and i can't answer it. The speaker sounds like Its made of tin foil, the touch screen only works when it wants to, and when it does, half the time it activates something other than what i want it to. I put it in for repair yesterday for the second time, and I'm confident it will come back factory fresh, which means it still wont fecking work.

SO i'm tied to this heap of unbelievable unspeakableness for another year, so i went on ebay, spent 20 english pounds, and bought one of these :)

Holy crap what the funk is that.

I still have a old nokia 6230i, colour screen etc, still works even tho it has been dropped out of windows, thrown out of cars, thrown off cars, even got wet.

HA! That actually IS cool :thumb: All the phones about at the moment are tosh. Dougie's touch screen phone broke (whilst he was under a Cav no doubt) so he's back to using his old faithful. I really need a new phone but they're all touch screen bollocks and I just want some buttone. I love that though ^^ :)

Its a 7110. i always wanted one when it was out but I was on pay as you talk so it was uber expensive.

The cover is spring loaded and pings down when you press a button, and that activates the incoming call. Proper yuppy stylee lol

Tommy, thats the matrix 'bananna' phone. The real ones didnt have the spring loaded cover, it was an add on for the film, but Nokia used it on the 7110 when it came out :)

Meh, I went off Nokia's when I had the 7210, it broke as soon as it come out of the box.

I used sony ericson for a while, which annoyed me as they're slow as a sleepy snail, Had 2 LG touch screen things, which are both currently broken, now using a £13.00 Nokia 1610(?) which so far hasn't put a foot wrong.

I upgraded to an N97 last year. I walked home from the shop and played with it when I got home, it froze up and turned itself off so I promptly marched back down to the shop and demanded a different phone. Got and N95 (bit backwards I know) but its been a good phone.

due for an upgrade again soon and I have no idea what to get coz I dont really want a touch screen. will have to just see whats about when im due for renewal. I agree that phones are just getting silly nowadays, I loved my old BT Cellnet phone with screw on aerial! :thumb:

8210 was just the daddy of phones when it came out.
Had shizzle like voice recognition and radio etc i think! Or maybe that was the 8310!!

But anyway, old skool phones do rule, you just cant break them no matter what you do!!

It was the 8310 with the voice recognition im using one at the moment have been for a couple of monts only prob is the time it take for the msg box to openlol


I used to have an 8850 back in the day even though I was on pay as you go. I think I won it on ebay all those years ago then sold it on there when I was done with it for more:eek:

7110 is uber cool. I had one new back in the day, paid loads for it on PAYG. I still have it squirreled away somewhere lol BTW, expect the button on the back to break, and the spring goes for the drop down bit. When that happens it WILL keep unlocking itself and dialling/deleting your entire contact list!

I also had a 402 for a while; borrowed my sisters for a few days once making myself the coolest kid in college, then bought my own. Games! On a mobile phone! That'll never catch on.

My first phone was a Motorola C520, they were pretty popular. Mate of mine had a Startac in 1996 which we dropped in the sea somewhere off the North Cornwall coast. Took it back to the place we were staying, hung it on the washing line by its aerial over night, next day it was fine lol

Told you already, N85. Its the spiritual successor to the N95; same OS, more reliable, more features, smaller, lighter, generally just better.

lol old skool nokias were so cool , i ad loads of them , was changing them every few week when i was in college ,
