right here goes other day my fuel pump was making some odd sounds so today ive put the one ive got off nova rally on but its dead as can be no sounds of fuel been pumped or it even working so plug my old one in and thats dead too.so my next step after a few hours of trying to get one was the fuel relay which ive put a brand new one in and still no luck....so ive wired the old pump to the batt and it work the new pump will not on the other hand and when i put the old pump back on the car wires wont work again??? what can i do as when i parked it up other day was powering up fine get to it today and no chance!! am not a happy bunny:mad: :mad:

Check the earths, and FFS be careful lol

may sound daft as ive not touched anything but which earths and were lol is there some near the pump?

earth or fuse. just the blade fuse i guess your on bout in fuse box?? if so dam checked them and there all fine

have you got a multimeter mate can you check the earths are good and make sure you have the relevent positives there when in use and with the relay ?

If it comes down to it put the a switch in to control the pump, but it does sound like a wiring issue if you have changed both the pump and the relay

i lost power to the fuel pump, changed everything lol turned out the exhaust had melted the wires.

if the power isn't getting down to the pump, the check the relay, both the feed in & the output. iirc, it isn't fused anywhere specifically.. but the pump earths are dodgy at best.

after removing the earth wire and putting it back just to see if it did anything lol and also checking a few fuse which were fine i plug my old pump in and it worked:wtf: but ive put the 2nd hand one on and its just dead wont fire car up or out so i guess that one int know good even tho am told its been tested:confused:
