lol how did that happen?

i'd say one off the rear brakes locked up but was turning under pressure causing extrem heat therefore causing the tyre to get hot and eventually catch fire taking the plastic mud gaurds with it

worn brake, the s cam has a flatspot on it..can cause a brake fire.. but it smells awful for miles first. a pipe could have split to the anchorloks, causing the brakes to drag.....

its possable an individual brake cylinder didnt free of and the rest did and that would give the impresion that its just heavy loaded had that myself and i didnt realise until about half a mile up the road after i had flat spottedthe tyre

if the trailer park brake was still on he would have seriously strugled to pull it up the road especialy if its loaded and if it was empty it would have just draged the tyres locked up flat spotted them and blew them out i know because before i started driving them i used to be a comercial tyre fitter and i have been out to a few that have draged them up the road with the park brake on and they dont usualy get much further than about half a mile out the yard before you get a big bang lol

The story unfolds, the driver that took it out on site reported a bad smell from the brakes, fitters should've gone out to check them. So the driver that pulled it back is in the clear.

they are poor quality adverts!

editted for truth.......

any of that 'fine filtered' stuff is cobblers of the highest order....

the milk is filtered at the farm, and the dairy, they nick loads of cream from it (skimming) then it is pasteurised & homogenised, which means it is blasted thru a filter at huge speed to break down the cream which is why modern milk doesn't have separate cream at the top.... then it is bottled & shipped.

how could passing it thru any other form of filter make it taste any better or be any better??? answer, it can't.. but you can't convince my mother in law of this fact... because she watches the telly ads

now, back to the wagon. if one chamber's pipe for the springbrake has a leak, it will be rubbing slightly & producing huge heat, or if the slack adjuster has pushed the cam too far out, it can do the same.

i chased a brake fire smell for 20 miles down the a46 from newark once, finally i caught up with an argos wagon, the blue smoke out the back was getting bad, it took me 3 miles to get alongside him & stop him. he was completely unaware.. 10 seconds with a 14mm spanner & he was merrily on his way....i asked him if he was planning to be featured on the evening news..... cos he would have shut down a huge part of the road network if it had gone on fire
