1.4 carb

ok just got new nova 1 to day go it as a non runner i got it fireing.its a 1.4 sr engine
the carb has auto choke but i dont know were the pipes go on the auto part of it. and when i give it some the revs sticks on? and it cut out when i stop i have to keep revin it.
any i dears on what i can do thanks

sounds like the choke i had a similer problem on my 1.2 manuel choke all i did to fix it was adjust the throtle so it revs a tiny bit more for it to idal and then with the choke sticking on i found a tube over the cable inside the cable cover that i pulled out more with a pair of twezzers and that fixed my choke staying on the auto choke im not to sure but to get the engine running without the revs try adjusting the throttle move the tiny clip forward 1/2 slots or untill the engine is running how you want it i hope this helps to atleast get the car running.
