dont do this it stress mounts and can twist, the spacers are available for not alot form valvers.com and they spread the stress so less likely to breake the gear box

Fkin lol Rich lol
I use the propper mounts, and the 12mm spacers, doesnt affect it for me lol
Sloth, thats pikey as fook!
how is it? all it does is spaces the box over the right amount, the same as using a spacer. the bolts are a longer length so there is no difference. i did this on a mates let corsa 23k ago and its still ok.

you putting extra preasure around the bolts that can stress the box casting and break seen it a load of times on bodged conversions is it worth it the spacer is only about £10 the spacer spreads the load more evenly than washeres.
washers are the pikey method rob

read what i wrote again i said to use the spacer not washers as washers point load and increas stress spacers spread the load
I have broke the casting off the back of an f20 using two 10mm thick washers as spacers and racing lots at York.
Now I wouldn't even bother with a two bolt spacer, three bolt is the way to go if launching/driving the car hard.

Has anyone got a pic of a gearbox spacer? I'm looking to make / buy one as well, but if I'm honest I don't know what one does, so I'll await the pointing and laughing and see if anyone can help a first time converter.
