what jointing compound on main bearing cap?

hi just wondering what jointing compound everone use's on the end main bearing cap on an xe?, acording to haynes theres some special stuff avalaible from vauxhall's?

RTV sealant. Available from GM stealerships.

Its a black sealant from vauxhall. That looks like the grey stuff^

Sure some berk will tell you to use seam sealant, or questioning why your actually bothering to use sealant.
