as above, has anybody got a picture of where it is ment to be with a new belt fitted, its a late type engine, i know there is a new and used position, but i want to make sure its right before the cover goes back on, dont want a big banglol

if it's a new belt put the pointer to the first marker! Then turn it over a by hand and check there's no slack anywere:)

I always set it slightly to the right of the new belt mark
