hey im spraying my nova arden blue with a really nice glossy shine to it but its costing me a fortune to do it with cans so i have given up now the bonnet looks good and thats as far as i have got as all the car shops round here are S*** halfords dont bother to order it in and tell me its £15 for them to mix it for me and moterworld order it but it gets deleted off there order sheets so i give up my partners dad has a compressor and gun he will let me borrow to spray my car but i cant for the life of me find a place in worcester that will supply arden blue paint cheap enough. the code im using is 291 or 12L... 291 is the one i want according to a diff forum theres 3 codes to arden blue and it is diff shades. 291 is opel arden blue and 12L is the vauxhall code also a 3rd code i gave up at that part. if anyone knows of any paint shops they can reconmend please send me a message. also does anyone have a set of lowering springs for a nova 40mm all round or someone advise me on what size i should get for the car to be flat not tilted please thanks in advance james.

What are type of paint are you wanting to use? You can get somthing like 2k or synthetic enamel on the internet for around 15-20 per L will work out so much cheaper, but expect to pay for around £100 for thinners/paint/etc

i paid £500 for 5 litres of bmw sedona red, thinners and clear coat. if you have never sprayed before, i suggest paying someone to do it instead.

get 2k i just painted my nova engine bay in the stuff, and vow never to use rattle can paint ever again. its sooooooo effing awful and crap quality words cannot describe! just get some good old 2k and do it with that, its soooo much more woth it, if your looking for a high gloss. do what i have done and get a basecoat and then put the laquer on top. its a little bit more expensive,, but soooo much more worth it. check out my thread there is a link in my signiture below all this, ive just literally updated the photo's with laquer.

ideal thanks for the help 2k it is then. just looking at the thread now. i havnt sprayed a whole car before i have done parts with a spray can and it came up ok. the bonnet at pvs wasnt finshed as i ran out of paint and no one could order it in for me. my partners dad has a spray gun and compressor he is lending me. to do it fingers crossed it turns out okish o_0.... everyone has to start off somewhere. thanks for the help again cheers guys .

Edit... just read your thread and WOW looks good. yeah the way you painted yours is the way i want it done the arden blue with grey primer and nice glossy shine should give it a unique shade. i hope anyway. so let me get this right i should get 2k (2pak) paint with base coat and laquer
and to paint i ......primer....basecoat....laquer....paint.....la quer..... also 1200 wet and dry it back each coat to keep it smooth is that the right order for painting? if so jobs a gooden and ill be over the net surfing the waves of porn to find paint XD asap... really want to get it painted before billing.
