and by far the worst bit
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4102.jpg

im chuffed with it, especially as it was free lol.

plans for it, are to make it MOTable and then let kelly have it to drive as her first car.

the MOt test sheet says, it needs new wipers, new headlights, new side repeater, front brakes binding, hand brake not strong enough. a sharp edge somewhere. and the battery tray rust, one rear fuel line has split.

all in all, should be a simple quick fixes.

lol, yeh i couldnt believe it was free :D

just been out for a while, washed the car twice, hooved out all the ****e, all the cob webs from the bay etc etc and looks a million times better.

cut out the battery tray rot to see what i have to play with, or not as the case is lol.
wire wheeled a patch of rust on the back and a few tiny holes.

will hopefully bust out the welder tomorrow pending weather.

Actually screw what I said in my 1st post. This could have made a decent 'rat' project & you went & spoilt it by washing the thing. FAIL. lol

bmw156
19-06-10, 09:25 PM

ok so done some more work on this bad boy today.

off i went to halfrauds and get some fuel pipe, and replaced the fuel line. so it now doesnt leak. good times.

had a bit of choppy choppy on the rear arch, nothing major:

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4115.jpg

for craig :D
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4117.jpg

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4118.jpg

also i took of both front wheels and stripped the driver brake as it was binded, and the passenger wasnt yet. so i have left it, and thought it would be rude not to put on the alloys lol

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4114.jpg

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4116.jpg

also noticed around the sunroof, there has been some tape there in the past, and its left some nice small circles all the way around

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4125.jpg

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4123.jpg

and most importantly its now part of the family.

Connor
23-06-10, 02:58 AM
^^^ glacier white?

kelbelle
23-06-10, 05:42 PM
Well the two options seem to be either glacier white or polar white. I think the Halfrauds chart said it polar white?

bmw156
24-06-10, 11:23 PM
ok so i have chucked on all the parts i can from mr browney, thanks again.

wiper blades
both wing mirrors for internal adjusters
a brand new headlamp, all working
and a few other bits which are not on yet
also got a battery of mr browney, so charged it up, and chucked it on,
fired 3rd time, with abit of pedal, ran it until it was up to temp and it was all fine. good old 1.2 engines lol. throttle cable is stiff, and clutch cable is the same, will replace these in the future.

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c325/bmw156/DSC_4129.jpg

not alot left after that, just welding

bmw156
28-06-10, 07:48 PM
not much of an update, waiting to get paid so i can buy some welding gas lol.

got the rear wiper motor work, by giving it a clout. works fine now.
reliased why the heater blower doesnt work. there isnt a fuse.

ok have been doing some work on this to get it ready for its MOT.

got some brakes and seatbelt of muzzy, thanks dude.

brakes all fitted and bled. and working better then the others lol.
seatbelt fitted, so it passes the MOT.

and some welding done in the boot, as it was questionable they would fail it.

and just the battery tray and arch left to do, the MOT time... :D

pics of how it stands now.
