cheers mate +rep your way

and the starter won't engage if you currently have a 1.2 carb........ the f13 type of engine, as in the e16se, uses a bigger flywheel & clutch than an f10 type of engine, 12st, 13s, etc.

so the the f13cr box will be ok then along with the 1.6 clutch ive got on it at the mo so would the starter engage if i use a 1400 fly wheel or will i need the 1600 one????
if it is a 1400 carb, i'm positive its the smaller one than the 1600. but i think the 1400mpi is the same size as the 1600, but i've never seen a 1400mpi one up close, so don't hold me to it

it is the mpi one as its of an sri, so the best way for me to tell would be to get my box of n put the 1400 one up against the 1200 one and see if its bigger?

Use a 1600 flywheel & a new 1600 clutch man. As GM intended.
The 1200 fly you have would mean using the smaller clutch.

its a long winded way of doing it, but you might be better off checking with the dealer or a decent parts shop, instead of a couple of hours of graft......
simply find out the clutch size for the 14sri

been down to my local vauxhall dealer and have been told that the flywheels are the same on the c14se/c14nz & e16se provided the engine numbers are between 1973910 & 2t39s67
