What are they as standard?

What are Spax/Avo telescopics as standard?

What is the norm for a Macpherson setup on the rear of a Nova?

What is the usual spring length on a Macpherson setup on the rear of a Nova?

Thanks

Is 'Macpherson' the ones that are wrapped around the shock?

GAZ ones are 190, not sure about length.

Macpherson is the yeh where the spring and shock are one unit.

I have some Avos that are 140lb but are 12", so wound up just under half an inch will be 190lb...

That'll do

EDIT +rep for quick reply

Std pigtail springs will be a lot higher than coilover springs. 500+ would be my guess for uprated seperate pigtail springs.

Quick question if you don't mind, did you have to bash your turrets so springs don't catch?

And are AVOs 1.9" diameter?

Anyone know the length that say Gaz or Avo provide with their proper suspension setup for the rear?

Edit- Must spread the love before i can rep you Mr Green

No idea I acquired them from the chap in the next yard to me, he bought them for his car, but turned out to be too big, so going to see if they wil fit the Nova

I can measure up my GAZ's (coilovers) tomorrow. You just want a spring length?

300lb, so all Id have to do is wind it up just over an inch...

it depends on the length of the coilover, on the rear I've seen open sizes between 15 and 19 inches. 19 inches is the length of the std damper.

AFAIK 140lb per inch, so with removing an inch (winding it up) it will be 280lb?

no, all winding it up does is change the ride height. The rate is the weight to compress the spring by 1 inch and should remain constant, unless its a progressive spring.

Paul, note they arent mcpheason struts either.... Thats a whole different ball game that is used on the front.

Perhaps make a call to GAZ (they are only in Basildon) and see if they can supply you some springage... should be cheaps (not quite my level of cheap but close lol)

Are you doing Combe next monday?
