View Full Version : Is Billing........
Worth a 362.2 mile drive south for the Sunday then a return of 362.2 drive home on Sunday night?
**** no!!!! can you not do the weekend? be worth it then
The earliest I could leave would be 6 pm on Friday and would need to be back for 7 am on Monday, according to the iPhone crapnav it'll take just under 7 hours driving.
What's the nearest airport?
east midlands one i recon
I'll have a look at flight times and cost etc,
Where the funk are you from? Sick day and do the weekend.
I drove to PVS and back on Sunday the same day, was about 500 miles all in, not that bad.

10 miles west of Glasgow airport,
only myself and my brother have the revelvent saftey tickets in our company to do our job and i'm on the rota for the two weeks either side of that weekend. :(
shouldnt take 7 hours I dont think although I've never done that exact journey and obviously depends on what time your travelling at, speed you drive etc.
I picked my nova up from m40 j16 and from looking on google maps its not that far away from northampton(40-50 miles). i made it back to glasgow in 3 hours. although on the way down it took about 7, but only because of roadworks and breaking down.
in my experience just dont hit the areas around manchester or birmingham at rush hour. always makes me realise how congestion up here is nothing compared to england
luton airport is at juction 10 of the M1 billing is 15 so its not that far :)
If I had to travel over 700 miles I'd want to do it over two days

I do bow down to your level of commitment, driving 6 hours down to do a car show.

that's what myself and friends have been doing the last 4 years although stopped going to pv the last two.

that's what I was about to suggest! Although you could get away with leaving about 3 to arrive about 10, your not missing much between 7 & 10am there and it'd give you a few more hours in bed if you were gonna have a wee kip beforehand!

Me and my Dad left on the Saturday night and go there early Sunday morning and headed home Sunday afternoon - It was well worth it as it was an eye-opener
I'd do it then book more time off next year :thumb:
