1990 GTE 12 Months MOT.

Hi

Its time to part with my much loved GTE which i have owned for a year now but sadly it has to go.

I bought it from a chap in nottingham who painted it. completely standard. who bought it as a summer car but never had time to drive it. before this it had been owned from new by 1 lady and her son. when i bought the car it went straight to my local garage for a full service, cambelt, waterpump and the brakes doing as it had been stood. this itself cost in excess of 400 pounds which i have reciepts for. since then it has had a new fanbelt aswell and rencently two new front tyres. I have a folder with loads of reciepts all the previous MOT's to prove millage even the original bill of sale and finance!still have original radio although it is not fitted. orginal parcel shelf no speaker holes cut door cards etc. Have the orginal wheel trims. usual wear to drivers bolster on seat. central locking, electric windows and sunroof model.

I have just had it MOT'd and it needed the headlights adjusting and a passengers side CV boot which was done by my local garage. the only thing they recoomened was a Throttle position sensor as it idles a bit lumpy due to little use and sometimes idles high just to be honest.

During winter i removed the skirts bumpers and wings and repaired 1 patch of rot on the inner wing and in the boot corner. i also checked the car underneath the rear chassis rails, sills, spring seats are all ok, as are the splash gaurds and front chassis legs has a small patch patch welded on the turret seam. I undersealed the underneath completely. the rear passenger arch is just starting to bubble slightly where it has been painted.

Since owning the car i have upgraded the suspension to spax rsx height adjustable coilovers on the front and spax rsx damping adjustable shocks on the back with 40mm lowering springs.

The car also has a ashley 4 branch manifold which is heatwrapped. and a full ashley mild steel system including backbox. it ppulls very well and really does roar!.

NOTE: I still have all orginal parts as seen in last picture.

very tidy!!! i may be able to talk porter into letting me have this lol trouble is hes already said my son would wreck it (hes 3 and causes more destruction than a gremlin lol) and i'd have to clean it every week.........i can see it turning into another green one lol
