C16XE Limp/Safe mode?

i took my car out last night and it started to not drive over 3500rpm it would rev over but not drive.

What causes this ?

Also my ignition barrel gets stuck in the last click and i have to turn it back manually what cause's this or is it a common fault? Only just started doing it.

What fuel pump are you using? sounds like a starvation problem under load maybe?

no its been fine up until the engine management light came on then this once it wouldnt go above 3500 Rpm

Ahh i see, hmm crank sensor maybe? or cam sensor?

What fault codes come up Jimbo? It could be the afm playing up or the icv is knackered, have you checked also your air pipes/ breathers to see if any have split or come off.

Also you say the switch is that the black bit where the wires connect? on the back of the barrel
