Im selling some astra VXR brakes for my mate on fleebay ATM.
Loads of people keep asking for a price on postage even tho i've said arrange your own couier (its all i would be doing so why cant they??)
anyway back to the point.

Has anyone sent a set of disc and calipers before?? they are 321mm disc and bigish cailpers.

if so how much did u pay? what sort of weight where they all packaged up? what company did u use??

thanks for the help!

ebay links are banned :d

I have a set of 288's in a box atm that I lugged in/out of the car for pvs, full set of 4 calipers and discs I would say is a good 40-50kg!

Disks do weigh a bit, just holding 2 x 256x24mm disks is enough to make your hand hurt after a while. Throw in the calipers then your easily talking 20-25kg imo. TBH I always wanted to weigh them but have totally forgotten to do so.

They will weigh feck loads. I have sold & sent countless 16v fr setups. They are hefty.
I'm pretty sure Royal mail wont take them at their full weight. Best to send 2 parcels.

just weigh the items on a bathroom scale...

i use interparcel & have had great service from them. if you say organise your own courier, then you will be waiting in for it.. i usually get my stuff collected from the office at work, so i don't get mucked about.

^ +1 on bathroom scales. People need weights for couriers.

I sold some brakes recently. Weighed them on the bathroom scales. www.senditnow.com IIRC or try www.interparcel.co.uk

At a complete guess say 25kg??
